We Can Do Better Than This -- They Deserve Better

I thought he said “82d Airborne,” but there’s as much chance I’m wrong as there is I’m right. Indeed, there’s as much chance he was never in the military, let alone the army, as there is he once served his country. Before we got any farther in the exchange security quite politely and gently led him from the park and the concert. Read more

REMAINDER OF THE IVAW "JULY" BUS TOUR ENDS THIS WEEK IN NY!

Given the undue ATTENTION that the Pentagon has given the IVAW Bus tour out of an OVERWHELMING FEAR that a few courageous Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans joining Generals that served in combat in Iraq SPEAKING OUT against the war or even just questioning the progress of IRAQINAM could have on getting more "thinking" troops to join in opposition to the war, the collective WE though it a decent idea to publish the rest of the IVAW bus tour schedule.  Read more

This Memorial Day Make the Press Cover Veterans' Issues Full Time

Share your views with the press. Veterans and war are often reduced to two holidays, in the eyes of civilians and reporters: Veterans Day and Memorial Day. There are no reporters covering the Department of Veterans Affairs and veterans' issues full time. The failure to cover the human and financial consequences of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars must change now. Read more
