"Abandoned Wife of a U.S. Soldier, Attempts Suicide, Has PTSD"..Hazel Davis

+Recommend this blog A 34-year-old female, who was abandoned by a U.S. Soldier...has attempted suicide. There are other complications in this matter, too. Unbeknownst to the female, when she married the male Soldier, he failed to tell her that he had STD, incurable type. This Soldier, also knew this female was pregnant with another male's child...& also knew that the female Did Not have STD when he married her. When the baby was born, the baby was born on a military base, & the baby also is born with the STD, that is Incurable...& was given an injection to put the Disease in Remission. By the time the baby got about 4 or 5 years old, the disease was effecting the eyes of the child. And by the time the child got about the age of 9 or 10, the blood pressure of the child was being effected. The Birth of the Child, was a High-Risk Pregnancy Birth...& the mother, suffered much, soon as the baby was born, and she required Emergency Surgery, to save her life...as she was bleeding severely. The bleeding continued off & on for the next two years...& the mother, was required to consume meds for pain & infection. Military Doctors had Not Properly Cleaned the Area of the Birth Canal, & Infection had Taken Place. With the mother of the child, in such a ill-health condition...her Soldier husband, who was forced to be discharged, because of Indebtedness to the Military..took his wife & the child to her parents home, in another state & Abandoned her & the child...then he took another female as his spouse...& he Never Paid for Any Expenses, of his Wife, who he abandoned. If there was a divorce filed, by the Soldier / Husband, the Wife, has Never Received a Copy of That Document. It has been sometime since the wife has even heard about any location where the Veteran / Husband, could be living. The health of the wife has declined, & the husband left her with no financial provisions or any type of security for health or living expenses. The Soldier / Husband, abandoned his wife, about two months, before he was fully discharged. Without financial security & healthcare, it is a Depressing Situation for the Wife...& just this week, she attempted suicide, & officials or medical care providers will Not Provide Assistance to Her...without medical coverage. Any Military Soldier, should be held accountable for his / her family...at any time...that they are eligible for support from the spouse...for themselves or any dependent children involved. These are sad times, both for Military Soldiers / Veterans & the family members of the Soldier / Veterans. It's really sad that Abandonment happens in many of the situations with Military Soldiers / Veterans wives & any dependent children. To leave a spouse, without resources for survival, should be Cause for a Lawsuit...(well, my opinion, of course). I hope many changes can take place, so that neither the Military Soldier / Veteran or any of their family members, feel they have to resort to Suicide / Attempts. SLICC Transit for Brass, SQUALOR for Troops: Your Terrorism $$$ at Work

+Recommend this blog “Terrorism Funds May Let Brass Fly in Style” Washington Post, 18 July 2008 The Air Force's top leadership sought for three years to spend counterterrorism funds on "comfort capsules" to be installed on military planes that ferry senior officers and civilian leaders around the world, with at least four top generals involved in design details such as the color of the capsules' carpet and leather chairs, according to internal e-mails and budget documents…. ...Construction of what the Air Force initially termed the new Senior Leader Intransit Comfort Capsules, or SLICC, has already begun, under a contract paid from general Air Force funds. One of the 18-by-9-foot capsules has been partly completed. But McMahon said the program has recently been downsized from 10 capsules to three, plus the four pallets fitted with swiveling leather chairs, known as Senior Leader Intransit Pallets, or SLIP. The reason, he said, is that the Air Force has upgraded the VIP fleet by adding new air defenses to the planes, reducing its need for new capsules. All four pallets will be finished this year, McMahon said, but he added that building them is much more complicated than "going down to your neighborhood store and buying a recliner and slapping it" onto a platform. Because of the cutback in the number of capsules and pallets, the program is currently estimated to cost $7.6 million.
“Watchdog: Leaked photos show troops fly in squalor” RAW STORY, 22 July 2008 A government watchdog has uncovered pictures that suggest US troops on their way to battlefields in Afghanistan travel in squalor while top military and government officials are cocooned in "comfort capsules" with reclining leather seats and flat-screen TVs…. “Colbert: Troops' seats 'come pre-moistened with finest American ass sweat'” RAW STORY, 23 July 2008 A recent revelation by the Washington Post that the Air Force had sought to spend war funds on "comfort capsules" in military aircraft became the target of a segment on Stephen Colbert's Tuesday night show. In his regularly appearing feature, The Word, Colbert mocked the so-called "comfort capsules," ripping the special travel considerations for military brass and civilian leadership as "a brand new weapon to defeat the terrorists." "Nation, the military's anti-terror budget is sacred," said Colbert. "That money can only be used for crucial programs like surveillance satellites, predator drones, and finding out which Army translators are gay." Colbert used the story to make a comparison to photos leaked by POGO, focusing on the lurid traveling conditions for American soldiers. Whereas, says POGO, "Air Force generals frivolously blew hundreds of thousands in taxpayer dollars because they didn't like the color of seat belts, carpet, leather and wood used in work and living space units being developed for use on cargo planes."… The piece on Stephen Colbert includes a video clip of his hard-hitting satire on the subject.Read more | 0 comments
