About Me:
I write on varying issues from civil rights, our troops ,the war, environment, and  others. My dad was a vet who was in Korea and also 'Nam. I am concerned with the fate of our troops and vets. It to me seems like as much as they have sacrificed for our country they are often  overlooked and discarded, their voices need to be heard.  I don't believe that  hollow rhetoric or waving flags  to show how patriotic we are in support of our troops  suffices. These are real people, with dreams , aspirations, and hopes . They do not belong on the streets homeless or without the medical care  and other benefits they  need. If we truly support our troops we must support them in their hour  of  need.  Many will need long term health care and other resources to help them to survive the after-affects of war. We need to make sure those resources are available to these men and women who have served our country. And we also need to make sure that their families are taken care of as well. We  as a nation do have a moral obligation not to abandon our troops currently fighting and our  vets who come home .
