Watch where you put your feet, look for movement, for a wire, a vine, stick and stone signs, a slight depression, for geometry- a straight line, a circle, a triangle, for what doesn’t belong. Don’t stare, you’ll get hypnotized, scan. Doing it without thinking, repeating the movements like an endless rosary, my Marine squad stretches a hundred meters single file along the floor of Happy Valley.

+Recommend this blog Ever wonder what they meant when they said you have to have a combat infantry bade provinging you were shot at or go through hell the rest of your life because you do not. It is because of a confederate war front line mentality. This dearly needs updateing since car bombs civilian bombers etc. read on

+Recommend this blog It is with heavy heart, because I did not seek to join the National Guard nor flee to Canada during the Vietnam War, I volunteered for it. However, this plea is for Veterans, troops, families and our supporters to lobby the leaders of the Canadian government to allow freedom from exploitation and abusive military service for combat Veterans. Meaning all Veterans and Active Duty troops who have served at least one tour in Afghanistan, and Iraq beyond Kuwait.

+Recommend this blog This was written almost two years ago and unfortunately for veterans it still holds true today. Our vets should not be over-medicated, experimented on.

+Recommend this blog If you are like me there alot of things that have changed for you if you came back from the war. The doctor said that the brain will rework itself and will get better but, after almost five years it hasn't. I guess I should have asked her just how long this process should take. I don't want to sound hateful or disrespectful to anyone but this is just one soldiers opinion.

+Recommend this blog VCS has published and really scooped many Veterans Issues that our traditional VSO have either looked the other way, remained relatively silent on until a more aggressive Veteran's group breaks through the media blackout or enough is enough.
Among them is Pentagon and VA collaboration on VA Claims to save $$$ to cover more tax cuts and more war AND
Remembering the fallen.

+Recommend this blog Every war ever waged by humankind from ancient time til NOW has produced not only broken minds and bodies but also ways in which combat Veterans cope with stress, mental anguish, or just to beat back their demons. This has been expressed in oral stories (war stories many embellished), written memories, art, music, painting, and yes poetry. I'd like to mention some of their heart felt feelings. Note I say heart felt NOT hate filled. The Mustang Major
