+Recommend this blog Casting a ballot is not about making some statement, it’s about which philosophy is going to run the government and thereby affect the lives of us all. Following along the “art of the possible” model, pulling the lever or blackening the bubble adjacent a candidate who has no real chance of winning is foolhardy. What it does is weaken the likelihood an acceptable, yet more electable candidate will actually be nominated, then elected.

+Recommend this blog With a bit of writer’s block, I was debating with myself what would be appropriate to write about on ‘this day.’ I said to myself, Self, how about religion, politics, or why not ‘the war.’ Myself said, “You mean however, one defines THE WAR.” WE concluded that focusing ‘solely’ on the ‘pros and cons’ of any of these aspects of Christmas Present would be just as hypocritical and inappropriate as our consumer society commercializing the Birth of the Christ Child into something worth buying, when it is the thought that counts.

+Recommend this blog As the article blow observes, Kentucky is one of the jess plain mose ig’nernt sttes. Asserting a “raht-ta-werk” to me is every bit equivalent with asserting one’s unmitigated right to be just plain stupid. And every adult certainly has that right. Though not articulated within the Declaration of Independence, it’s right up there with life and liberty. But, read the article, then decide whether one has an equivalent right to doom one’s children to the same toothless fate.

+Recommend this blog I got kind of steamed up about Sen. Clinton's interview with Newsweek this month.
I really hate to get Political on VCS; but now I feel it is personal now.
I guess I'm just a “nobody”, but I’m not running for office, and thought I would share my dilemma with some other Veterans in not sugar coating any of medical insurance problems, of Reserve and National Guard not covered by TRICARE.

+Recommend this blog If readers have not figured it out yet, the top issue on the American voters mind not only during the primaries, but also especially during General Election in November 2008 will be the Iraq War. The top issue, if not for American voters, at least for America’s Veterans will be ensuring that our troops that eventually become Veterans and those of past wars receive at a maximum mandatory funding of the VA or at a minimum maintaining the status quo in Supporting America’s Veterans and Troops.

I ask only one thing in return, PLEASE rate my article both here and at VT to get it more exposure on Google and other search engines, AND PLEASE take the Opinion Poll I was finally able to convince our editorial board to let me publish. Yes it is, and it’s absolutely, unequivocally a Republican/GOP deregulate everything/monitor nothing (What, you thought the sub-prime fiasco would be consequence free?), dive-head-first into the shallow pool of “Reagan proved deficits don’t matter” policies of trillion-dollar preemptive wars.

+Recommend this blog KBR — Kellogg Brown Root, a subsidiary of Halliburton — had over-billed the defense department $100 million. No one was in disagreement over that plain and simple fact. But what Michigan’s Senator Carl Levin wanted to know from the Pentagon witness was why no one in the administration had asked for a return of the money?

+Recommend this blog HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Really . . . please have some. And share the happiness with your brother and your sister, no matter that they may be from Samaria and do not share your personal religious beliefs. I fully understand that no fundamentalist Moslem is likely to receive and/or read a word of these sentiments, but the tidings are to them as well. And who knows, perhaps if everyone could cut the crap, including them, our soldiers truly could come home.

First off, let me clarify that what I am about to expose IS NOT, I repeat is not a lack of sensitivity nor is it an attitude held by ME, nor by any member of Veterans for Common Sense. That is not to say everyone agrees with everything I say below nor need him or her, nor you the reader. I only request that you STOP, Look in all directions, and Listen to what is being said by Supporters of the President, because what you are about to read IS NO WAY to Support Our Guard family members IF one agrees they are ‘whining’ or not...

+Recommend this blog My pondering waxes pornographic when I contemplate how the press secretary "earned" her two college degrees, let alone her present position. Her bachelors is from the University of Southern Colorado, where she minored in political science. After listening to the evidence, I recommend the school launch an investigation of possible improprieties between the faculty and the students during the period Ms. Perino attended.

+Recommend this blog I use voice recognization software on my computer that I recieved through the Independant Living(IL) program at the VA. I have no computer skills and have been trying to post this comment below for three days now. Many people are trying to make a fast buck on veterans and the comment on using TFT as a solution appears to be one. The VA did touch briefly on this subject (TFT) years ago. Every time I try to post a comment on any article it says something about links, spam and porno? Thought I'd try this blog.
