The report of the serious wounds suffered by Marissa Strock, 20, of New York brings the total number of U.S. service members wounded in George W. Bush's failed Iraq War to nearly 16,000.

The ever-escalating conflict and casualty count in Operation Iraqi Freedom prompts a sober and somber review of the enormous human suffering caused by George W. Bush's lies and vainglorious religious visions: more than 37,000 killed since March 2003.

U.S. Service Members Killed: 2,127
Coalition Service Members Killed: 210
Iraqi Service Members (Police / Guard) Killed: 3,697
Total Service Members Killed: 6,025

U.S. Contractors Killed: 286
Iraqi Civilians Killed: 30,879
Total Civilians Killed: 31,165

Grand Total Killed in Iraq War since March 2003: 37,190

IT IS NOT BUSH that killed these people. It is the apthetic american citizen. Long ago the Pogo cartoon character said it well "We have met thge enemy and he is us!" We cast uneducated votes for Bush, we swallowed his lies rather than ask questions, we allowed our children to sign up and we sit now on our hands while more goes on! We have to shoulder the blame, we have to act if we want this murder to stop. If we all called our congresspersons everyday it would end.

My response to those who says are troops signed up for this. Our troops did not sign up for this. They signed up to defend this country not go 1/2 way around the world so U.S contractors could get richer or lose there life because Pres Bush want's to be remembered as THE GREAT GEORGE BUSH WASHINGTON II.

Maryriver, Bush told us no lies. You can't lie if you don't give details of your adminsitration, of the things you want to accomplish during your administration. The only thing he really promised was "open decisions and government." Has he kept the promises? The far right conservatives wanted King George, they got him. The rest of us only wanted a good president. He has never faced a problem without having his people destroy the problem's character. He has never been able to debate, just rant.

I have no idea why my note to Maryriver isn't headed with my name? Can someone explain that?

That "victory" is impossible in this kind of war needs to be publicized. Only when the the American people fully recognize this reality will they force the administration to bring the troops home and stop the carnage.

Do you think that the public cares a whit about the soldiers that have been killed or wounded? What makes you think that. Remember what I keep hearing from the civilians that I encounter, "they volunteered for this." Oooooookaaaay! If they can say this with conviction, they just don't care at all. Most are just like King George, 3rd.
