There is a lunatic band of so called "Christians" from Topeka Kansas traveling the country protesting veterans funerals.
I think they're "led" by some chowder head named Fred Phelps of "godhatesfags.com" fame. Shouting slogans like "Thank God for IEDs" they apparently do everything they can to disrupt what most of us would recognize as a solemn rite commanding complete respect.
This group is to Christianity as al Quaeda is to Islam.
I'm proud of the bikers that have been following these idiots around and standing with the families.
I spent several years on an Honor Guard with VFW and American Legion. During that time I stood for over three hundred veteran's burials. To me there is nothing more sacred than this service. The rifle salute, the folding and presentation of the Colors and the playing of Taps at a veteran’s interment is one of the most moving experiences that I know of.
It is, for the families, perhaps the most heart wrenching and one of the most memorable moments of their lives. Anyone who would wantonly disrupt such a service should face criminal charges. I would like to see congress fast track legislation making the intentional disruption of any such service a federal crime.

Bob, My organization including anti-Iraqinam Vets who do not condone nor stoop to such low and disgraceful behavior are supporting our State Representative in Ohio who has introduced State Legislation making it illegal for anyone to dishonor a Military Funeral for ANY REASON. As a member of the Ohio State Chapter of Military Families Speak Out, I have assured our State Representative that I would do all I could to not only fally anti-Iraqinam Vet support behind outlawing such disgraceful behavior but will rally counter-protestors anywhere in Ohio to tell these freaks they are not Welcome in our state. I also praise what the motorcycle dudes and ladies are doing as long as the noise of their choppers don't get too close to funerals. BRO. I also support any federal law making it a crime short of any change to the Constitution. I don't like screwing with the Constitution unless it is to protect somebodies rights. Make federal laws out the ying yang to prosecute and throw people in jail for bing Hate mongers and fanatics of anykind but leave our Constitution alone. Folks are screwing it up enough.
