PTSD Vets Get Break
Posted By Tim Connely at 12:08 AM

The VA has decided not to review the thousands of PTSD cases

it had once said it would. Check out the press release at the VA's web site. Is Mr. Bush trying to turn around those negative poll numbers.

I think Pres Bush and friends are finding that this is not a good time to start taking away Veterans benefits. However Pres Bush has always pushed that if you were not in combat when you get injuryed. Too Bad. It is very important that Veterans stay informed with what is going on with are government. Right now more then ever Veterans must let America know that are benifits are not charity but are earn rights for doing what ever are Counrty asked of us to do.

Jennifer, The adimistration is actually setting it up so they CAN cut veteran's benefits. The military is making noise that if they didn't have to support veterans, the Military could have more 'things' for war. The problem with that argument is that veteran's medical support comes from the Treasury budget, not the military budget. The person whom Bush appointed to the VA board is a man from Indiana called Buyer (pronounced Boo yer) that has yet to give a complete budget for the VA and whines when it costs more than the budget called for. The Bushits have an unannounced aim of cutting every thing that looks like a welfare program... and they think that retiring after only 20 years is welfare. However, if you look carefully at the congressional retirement they can retire after only about 12 years with almost full salaries. Hum... rob from the poor and give to the rich?? James

Tim, The VA did a check of some 2,500 PTSD cases and found that the only problem with them was that the evidence was missing. However, it seemed to be a problem of the VA instead of the veterans cheating. So, they decided that they should call off the witch hunt. James
