I like your style. Sorta like a Davy Crockett with enough brains to stay away from the Alamo. I honestly need to find out more about this event in CA, but hell man we are talking about BERKLEY the capital of FREE THINKERS or at lease people who can THINK! Why anyone would want to keep a recruiting station anywhere in the State that I believe has the most effective counter-recruitment effort is BEYOND me. I'm from a REPUBLICAN controlled dry county in Ohio dominated by religious fundamentalist (No, not Al Queda), where we can gamble, whore, and even drink as long as we buy our way into NEOCON Heaven. Hell, I want the NEOCONs to put a military recruiting station in our Flag Waving community, because it is knee deep in military retirees. The response I get is a blank stare as if I were Lucifer with horns growing out of my head. But, I understand our 'religious community,' is AIR FORCE, and since the AIR FORCE is not only NOT HIRING, if their kids, even if they lost their minds and wanted to VOLUNTARILY go to Iraqinam NOW, would ONLY JOIN THE AIR FORCE. BRO that's about as gallant as joining the National Guard during Vietnam. The AIR FORCE ain't got no mission in Iraq of value except the unfortunate one of BRINGING OUT THE DEAD! Anyway, back to California. I have to agree with ya. But, folks get labeled LIBERALS, CONSERVATIVES, and NEOCONS because of either the ability to THINK FOR THEMSELVES (FREE THINKERS) or NOT. WE know who can and cannot. If you've blindly following the Bush/Cheney administraton OR WORSE collaborated with it, YOU CANNOT THINK FOR YOURSELF. Those with the ability TO THINK the most are usually called Bizurk, as in Bizurkley. Maybe has something to do with thinking outside THE BOX? But, once again hell BRO, we are talking California (The Blue State of Blue States). The Berkley thing is NOTHING compared to what's going down in Toledo, Ohio. (THAT'S the Bizurkley of Northern, Ohio). The Major and City Council of Toledo, Ohio a relatively larger city than Berkley, CA (ALMOST) has told THE MARINE CORPS it can no longer do Urban Warfare training in the downtown area (training that has been done since the Iraq War began to intimidate the anti-war movement there). It's Dennis Kucinich territory (WINK). The reasons given by the CITY, and I strongly agree with, is that U.S. military forces practiciing Urban Warfare here in America is UN-AMERICAN. WE THE PEOPLE just do not want American Soliders busting down doors in the middle of the night HERE IN AMERICA. It's OK for American Boys and Girls to do that in Islamic Nations, but hell no NOT IN AMERICA. Now, the Marines want to sue the city of Toledo and force the city to allow military training operations in a downtown area. Let me clarify THE DIFFERENCE as applied to two Urban Areas in Ohio. Near where I live in the Dayton Area, the Marines are allowed and welcome to do Urban Warfare trainging using abandoned buildings and such (once the homeless have been cleared out). However, the Urban military operations in no way interferes with city operations or daily activities of the general public. WE hardly know they are around except the noise of choppers now and then. In Toledo, its a different story. The Marines expect the City to shut down sections of a busy downtown area and provide volunteers for training. SAY WHAT. It is the NEOCON version of the street theater that Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) do. Hell, IVAW's presence is more welcome (yet amusing) than THE MARINES.
