Sep 5, VCS Asks You to Register and to Vote - - Election Day is Nov 4

You can now register to vote on line.  Veterans for Common Sense asks you to do your patriotic duty and Register to Vote. VCS wants to assist citizens with registering to vote before the 2008 Presidential Election, scheduled for November 4.

Via a new web site, www.vote411.org, you can learn how and where to register and vote based on the state where you live.   The web site is sponsored by the League of Women Voters Education Fund, a non-partisan non-profit organization.

If you moved or if you never registered to vote before, then now's the time ! You can also register to vote at "Rock the Vote" -- http://www.rockthevote.org/

As Thomas Paine said 232 years ago, "These are the times that try men's souls."  During a time of two wars, we each have a personal responsibility to ourselves and to our children to maintain our democracy by casting our ballot on Election Day.

You can make a difference one vote at a time.  Please be sure to ask your friends to register to vote by setting up your "out of office message" to encourage registering and voting !

Finally, remember to mark your calendars to vote early on Election Day because every vote matters !
