VCS has been unable to find an official source for US and UK service members wounded, either in action, or while deployed, but estimates run as high as 4,000.
2. Iraqi civilian and military casualties, March 20, 2003, through August 17, 2003:
Minimum deaths are 6,118; Maximum 7,836.
VCS has been unable to find an official source for Iraqi wounded, but estimates run as high as 20,000.
3. The cost for US taxpayers for just the military invasion and occupation runs a staggering $1 billion per week, or $23 billion since March 20, 2003.
Estimates for the next few years range as high as $600 billion, including the cost of rebuild Iraq.
