Hazel Davis, Founder of The San Bois Mountain-Valley Veterans Association of Oklahoma, has "gone forth, with Efforts, to Connect, with Rural Organizations, Rural Towns & Rural Communities, beginning with Rural Areas, of the County of Muskogee, & Haskell County, in the State of Oklahoma.

Connections made this Holiday, will bring forth, Outreach Services, in The Town of Tamaha, & the Town of Porum, in Oklahoma, and also, connections will be made to the LeQuire Fire Department, in LeQuire, Oklahoma.

The Mayor of Tamaha, Kenneth Ward, has Accepted the Proposal from Hazel Davis, on Behalf of the Town of Tamaha, which is located in the Northeastern Part of Haskell County, alongside the Arkansas River.

The Town of Tamaha, was the Scene of a Battle during the Civil War, & just recently items of interest, including a Cannon Ball, fired during the Civil War, was  found, when a Park was Established & the item was found, during the digging process.

The Town of Tamaha, is One of the Last Stops, which the Native American Indians, made when the Trail of Tears took Place. Other locations for that was at Dwight Mission, just North across the River from Tamaha, & then in the Eastern part of Oklahoma, west of Fort Smith, Arkansas, is Fort Coffee...near Pacola, Oklahoma.

The Town of Porum, is located south of I-40, near Checotah, Oklahoma. Porum, is also located near the Eufaula Dam, which has a huge Lake, covering several counties, & from what the talk is, there is Catfish, near the Dam, deep in the Water...fish that weigh as much as 125 pounds or more.

Near the Dam site, is a place called Younger's Bend, named after Cole Younger, one of the fellas who was part of the Outlaw Gang of the Jesse James Comrades Group.  Belle Starr was once married to Cole Younger, & they are parents of a daughter named Pearl.

Cole Younger is a Distant Cousin to Hazel Davis, & he was a cousin to Jesse James, Frank James, the Dalton Brothers, the Ford Brothers, too.

The Town of Porum, is overjoyed, to become part of the San Bois Mountain-Valley Veterans Association of Oklahoma, which will help them, provide Outreach Services to the U.S. Military Soldiers, Veterans, Widows of Veterans & their family members.

The Program will bring Funding for Educational Purposes, for the Children of Our Soldiers who are on Active-Duty, in a Foreign Country...and/or in America.

This Service will also bring Opportunity to provide job positions, for several of the Residents of the Porum area.

There are plans for a Housing Project, to provide housing, on a Temporary / Full-Time Residence, to any Homeless Veteran, who might have need of such housing opportunities, from anywhere in the United States.

Assistance will be provided to Assist the Soldier / Veteran, with filing for / obtaining VA Benefits.

The San Bois Mountain Valley Veterans Association of Oklahoma, will also, work in Conjunction, with the LeQuire Fire Department, to provide Extended Assistance & Funding for the Military Veterans who are Volunteer Firemen with the LeQuire Fire Department...of which there are several...who are Brave Warriors, participating in Saving Lives & Homes & Properties in the Area.

Funding will also be sought, to build a much needed Underground Shelter, for use by persons, who are victims of a disaster or emergency situation.

Property for the Underground Shelter, Housing, will be provided by Hazel Davis, who has been purchasing the property for such a purpose as this type of effort.

Within the coming weeks of the year 2008, many more Rural Area Businesses / Organizations, will be contacted, to hopefully, connect to the San Bois Mountain-Valley Veterans Association of Oklahoma.

Any Organization "outside the State of Oklahoma" may wish to Connect to this Organization, which can Assist in Providing an Opportunity for Funding to Be Obtained, to Provide Outreach Services to Our Military Soldiers / Veterans, who "surely need Someone to Care, about them".

This Independence Day Weekend, has brought so much happiness to many individuals, that All Efforts, on the Part of Hazel Davis, & others, has been Appreciated by Many who have been helped with the Services of this  Veterans Organization, designed / created to assist in "filling the needs of the Homeless / Disabled Veterans...who desire assistance...til they can be awarded the VA Benefits, due them".

Services to Our Military Soldiers / Veterans Is Not Limited, to just the residents of the State of Oklahoma.

WE WISH YOU A SAFE, HAPPY 4TH OF JULY, AS EACH OF YOU, DO CELEBRATE OUR AMERICAN...INDEPENDENCE !!
