Please RSVP contact@veteransforcommonsense.org or 202-543-6176 Speakers will include: Colonel Mary Ann Wright Colonel Ann Wright served with the United States Army and Army Reserve and spent 18 years as a diplomat with the United States Foreign Service. In March 2003 she resigned from her post as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Ulaan Batoor, Mongolia in protest over the invasion of Iraq. A recipient of the State Department's Award for Heroism, she organized the evacuation of the U.S. mission in Sierra Leone in 1997 and was the one of the first U.S. diplomats on the ground to reopen the U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan in 2001. She also served in civil reconstruction projects in Grenada, Panama and Somalia. Charles Sheehan-Miles, Veterans for Common Sense Executive Director Charles is a veteran of the 1991 Gulf War and was founding executive director and later president of the National Gulf War Resource Center, Inc. In 2002 he co-founded Veterans for Common Sense, helping to launch the organization in the buildup to the Iraq War. In August 2004 he left his position as executive director of the Nuclear Policy Research Institute to work full time with VCS. Special Invited Guest: Benjamin Busch Benjamin Busch served as a Marine combat commander in the Iraq War. A 1992 graduate of Vassar College, he is also an accomplished artist and actor. He currently plays detective Anthony Colicchio in the HBO series, The Wire. His credits also include the TV series The West Wing and Homicide, Life On The Street.
